"I wish there was a Yelp-ish, reliable source about specific dentists — not clinics."
Not all dental clinics are safe. Now you can see how we check.
Too expensive here. Too sketchy there. Too many "what ifs." RatedDocs verifies the actual dentist holding the drill — licence, training, sterilization protocol, and real results — before you ever book.
- Verified by practising dentists
- Safety and sterilization checks
- No upcharges or guesswork

We verify the dentist, not the clinic
Risk lives with the person holding the drill — not the building.
Verification can't be bought
A dentist is on RatedDocs because they passed — not because they paid us to be listed.
Information first, always
We'd rather help you make a safe decision than sell you anything.
We called 120 clinics. Only 7 passed.
We contacted 120 international dental clinics as prospective patients and asked the questions any patient has a right to ask — who is treating me, can you evidence your sterilization protocol, is this your own case work, what training does this dentist have for this procedure, and what happens in writing if something goes wrong. Seven clinics could answer all of it. Here is what the rest could not evidence.
Most could not describe or document a proper sterilization protocol when we asked directly — no written procedure, no autoclave logs, no spore-testing records.
Many presented case photos as their own work that were not from their own cases. When we asked for raw files, dates, and the treating dentist's name, the trail went cold.
Some dentists had training specific to the procedure they were selling. Many did not, and a general dental licence was offered as though it settled the question.
Not all offered a guarantee or warranty in writing, and where one existed, follow-through on it was minimal once the patient had flown home.
RatedDocs' own 2024 outreach audit of 120 international dental clinics. Findings describe what clinics could and could not evidence when asked. No clinics are named.
Why so many people are flying for dental care
Dental tourism is growing fast. People aren't being reckless. Care at home can cost three to four times more, and for complex work like implants and full-mouth restoration, the price gap is life-changing.
The instinct to look abroad is reasonable. What's missing is a way to look carefully.
The problem nobody fixes
People spend months researching — reading forums, comparing quotes, scanning reviews — and still can't answer the one question that matters: who is the actual dentist treating me?
Clinic reviews can be bought. Facilitators earn commissions for sending you somewhere specific. Before-and-after photos can quietly belong to someone else. The person you'll never meet until the day of your procedure is invisible in every search you do.
"Every site I find is just trying to sell me treatment."
"I found out who my actual surgeon was the day of the procedure."
Why the dentist matters more than the clinic
A clinic is a brand. It has a logo, a lobby, and a website. Your outcome depends on none of those things. It depends on the individual person holding the instruments.
Great dentists are often invisible behind clinic brands they don't own. Patients rate the clinic, the clinic keeps the review, and the dentist who did the actual work gets no signal. That's what RatedDocs fixes.
The 6 things we verify
Every RatedDocs-verified dentist has been reviewed against six clear, checkable pillars.
We confirm they're legally allowed to practice, right now.
We review documentation of how they keep you safe.
We check they're trained in the exact procedure you need.
We confirm the results are theirs.
You'll know exactly what's going in your mouth.
We verify their plan for you after you fly home.
How RatedDocs is different
Three simple steps
Individual dentists — not clinic brands — each with their verification checklist visible.
License, training, authenticated case photos, materials, aftercare — all in one place.
Every booking includes a video consultation with your actual dentist first.
"I didn't avoid veneers because I didn't want them. I avoided them because I didn't trust the process. Too expensive here. Too sketchy there. Too many 'what ifs.'"
— A patient who downloaded the free guide
The guide answers the questions people are scared to ask out loud:
- Who can you actually trust?
- What makes a dentist legit?
- How do you avoid the horror stories?
- How do I plan for dental work overseas?

Built by a dentist who got tired of fixing avoidable mistakes.
Dr. Halim Sbenati, DDS, has spent over a decade in cosmetic and implant dentistry in Toronto. Again and again, patients arrived in his chair to have irreversible mistakes repaired — mistakes made abroad, not because they were careless, but because trustworthy information about the actual dentist simply didn't exist.
"So I built the platform I wished my patients had."
